Mom left her baby to starve as she had a four-day drinking bout – world news – –

A mother left her baby to starve to death while she was drunk for four days with her friends.
Olga Bazarova, 25, locked her 11-month-old son and three-year-old daughter in an apartment without food and left the house.

On her return home, Zlatoust’s wife in Russia discovered that her son Savely had died “of hunger and dehydration”.

His daughter, who has not been named, was “severely emaciated and frightened”.

A court found Bazarova guilty of murdering a minor committed with extreme cruelty and disregarding her mother’s duties, leaving her daughter in extreme danger.

Bazarova “repented” in court for neglecting her children while drinking and said she “regretted” leaving her children, denying any intention to kill.

She was arrested after contacting her mother to tell her that she had returned home to find her dead son and malnourished daughter.

The mother contacted the police and Bazarova has now been imprisoned for 14 years.

Bazarova took her eldest son, seven, to a friend’s house before embarking on his four-day drinking bout.

According to reports, the boy was born from a previous relationship.

She told police she asked an uncle to look after her youngest children – but no charges have been laid against the uncle.

Chief prosecutor Vladimir Kislitsyn said: “The mother left her three-year-old daughter with an empty refrigerator.

“No baby food was found in the apartment. “

He added: “His 11-month-old grandson died of starvation and dehydration. “

Bazarova was charged on June 7 with the murder of a minor with particular cruelty and was deprived of her parental rights, reports the Daily Star.

Her son and daughter – now recovered from the 2019 incident – are in the care of their grandmother.

The woman’s husband, Leonid Bazarov, was in prison when the tragedy occurred.
