This is according to the latest reports, which indicate that United are still interested in right-back Trippier despite being comfortable with the English man’s Atletico Madrid assessment.
United are currently well below the price Atletico Madrid asks for the England full-back, apparently demanding £ 43million with United only willing to pay £ 20million.
Now Sky Sports News claims Telles could be sold to generate the necessary funds, with the Brazilian potentially looking to leave after running out of playing time after just one season at Old Trafford.
Such struggled to move Luke Shaw to the left-back, with Brandon Williams also available as a cover there. Trippier was also used on the left for England so he could provide cover on both flanks if he signs.
Meanwhile, reports in Spain suggest United could return for Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele, who was briefly on their radar as a Jadon Sancho alternative last summer.
Barcelona fear he could leave for free next year, according to Mundo Deportivo, so they would be open to him leaving for a fee this summer.
Finally, another Spanish media outlet, AS, said center-back Jules Kounde will likely stay at Sevilla for another season, despite significant interest from Premier League clubs.
They report that United, City, Chelsea and Arsenal all love 22-year-old center-back Kounde, but Sevilla want more than the € 55million City offered them last season. They are said to be unlikely to get that number and Spanish club manager Monchi doesn’t want to underestimate Kounde.
