The movie star died after sustaining serious injuries when she was hit by an electric scooter on June 4.
Lisa’s close friends confirmed her death on Monday, after the star sadly lost her fight amid “traumatic brain injury”.
A representative told Entertainment Tonight, “We are heartbroken by the tragic and senseless death of Lisa.
“She was a woman of great spirit, kindness and generosity and dedicated to her work, whether on stage or in front of a camera and even more to his wife, family and friends.
“We were lucky to have him in our lives. “
Lisa was reported to be about to meet his wife Kathryn Kranhol when she was hit by the electric scooter while crossing the road on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York.
The driver is said to have fled the scene and the police are currently searching for the owner of the electric scooter.
After Lisa’s tragic death, a spokesperson for the New York Police Department told Metro that no arrests have yet been made.
At the time of the horrific accident, Lisa’s wife, Kathryn Kranhold, told the New York Post: “Lisa is in critical condition and we will know more in the coming days. “
After her untimely death, Lisa’s good friend, singer Jill Sobule, paid tribute to the movie star.
Jill gushed about her “gorgeous” friend in the heartbreaking tribute.
The heartbroken singer wrote, “Just broke. Lisa Banes was gorgeous, hilarious and big-hearted – always helped me through tough times.
“She was loved so much by so many people. “
Lisa is best known for her role in Gone Girl where she played Marybeth Elliott, the mother of Rosamund Pike’s character.
