A 16-year-old supermom gave a glimpse of what it’s like to cook dinner when you’re part of “Australia’s biggest family.”
Jeni Bonell and her husband Ray, from Queensland, have a large family of nine sons and seven daughters, ranging in age from six to 31.
The 51-year-old mother – who spends an average of $ 450 on groceries each week – offered her family breakfast for dinner on Friday night, which consisted of scrambled eggs, toast, baked beans and bacon .

She shared photos of the epic prep, which included three dozen eggs, whole loaves of bread, and endless cans of baked beans.
Jeni explained that she cooked a dozen eggs at the same time in her “banquet fryer”, before letting them “warm up” in the oven under foil while she “baked the second batch”.
Jeni explained that her husband Ray even cuts the toast with a pair of scissors to save time when doing such big bulk cooking.

“I asked my husband to sort the toast. Please butter and cut and put on plates.
‘I turn to find him “saving time” by cutting him with the kitchen scissors.

Jeni also explained that she cooks a dozen and a half eggs at the same time in her “banquet fryer”.
She then lets them “warm up” in the oven under foil while she “bakes the second batch”.

She usually does this in a huge supermarket at the start of the week to stock up on basics, fresh meat, fruits and vegetables, spending an average of $ 450.
But the stock only lasts the family for half the week. Jeni returns to the store mid-week to collect essentials such as milk, bread and fresh produce.

Jeni usually goes to a huge supermarket at the start of the week to stock up on basic items, fresh meat, fruits and vegetables, spending an average of $ 450 (pictured purchases).
In one of her shops mid-week, she picked up six bottles of 3L milk, three loaves of sliced bread and a range of fresh fruits and vegetables.
The transport included 2 kg of carrots, four trays of strawberries, two trays of blueberries, 1 kg of grapes, 400 g of cherries, 600 g of grape tomatoes, 4 kg of potatoes, two salad kits, one tray of peaches and a bag of apricots.
“When you just need milk, bread, and fruit and veg,” Jeni wrote on Facebook, alongside a huge grocery store from her “quick store.”
Her grocery bill came to an estimated total of $ 132.67.

Jeni and Ray (pictured) say their family typically consumes 50 liters of milk per week, but they are currently trying to cut back on dairy.
To keep costs down each week, the mom previously said she always bought private label items, stocked up on produce at half the price, and bought fresh meat and fresh produce in bulk.
»I tend to buy whatever we need to cook this week’s meals to add to our supplies or if I have something that I find special or half the price or good deal, then I will buy this product and we will store it, ”she said.
“We’ve bought some ingredients to go with some of the meals we’re going to be making this week – and the rest is basically filling the cupboards until it fits in the pantry. “
Normally, the family drank 50 liters of milk a week, but Ms Bonell said last year she was trying to cut back on milk production.
“We are trying to reduce the milk a bit just for budget reasons, so [I bought] six three-liter bottles, and we’re trying to get by with only 12 three-liter bottles a week, ”she said.
This means that the family is currently drinking 36 liters of milk per week.
