New York Mets ace Jacob deGrom was caught on MLB Network’s Ballpark Cam wrestling with another Mets player in the grass of the outfield ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Atlanta Braves.
DeGrom nailed the other player to the ground and a third Mets player made his presence felt by impersonating a referee and signaling that two-time award winner Cy Young came out victorious.

Mets fans were concerned that deGrom would injure his right arm, prompting a ton of backlash on social media. WFAN radio host Evan Roberts – who is a Mets fan – wasn’t happy either.

While this is frustrating for Mets fans to see, coaches and other Mets staff can be annoyed with deGrom as well. Thanks to 13 starts this season, deGrom has an all-time ERA of 0.69, which is hands down the best in all of baseball. He is expected to make his next start against the Braves on Thursday.
