Tremaine, who led all Donkey feature films, filed for the restraining order after Margera allegedly sent him and his family death threats.
“I am very concerned for my personal safety and that of my family,” Tremaine wrote in his application.
Margera’s threats began after he was let go of asshole 4 because he did not respect the terms of his contract after his relapse last June.
Following her dismissal, Margera asked fans of the franchise to boycott the new film.
In documents obtained by People, Tremaine delivered screenshots of texts allegedly sent by Margera. One included threats against Tremaine’s children by Margera who he said were “from the bottom of her heart.”
Tremaine also claimed that Margera called her colleague and claimed “he has ‘wizarding powers’” and “can create and strike lightning.”
In May, Margera posted an Instagram video to Tremaine and Donkey co-starring Johnny Knoxville. The actor said the couple “betrayed me, abandoned me, rejected me”.
however, Donkey collaborator Stephen “Steve-O” Glover came to their defense. In a comment on the post, he wrote: “Bam – the two people you say wronged you are the same two people who organized the intervention that saved my life.
“Everyone went out of their way to get you into the movie, and all you had to do was not load yourself up. You kept charging, it’s that easy.
He added, “We all love you as much as we all say, but no one who truly loves you can allow or encourage you to stay sick. “
A judge had granted Tremaine a temporary restraining order in May, which was due to expire on the same day the three-year order was put in place. The order was extended to the wife and children of Tremaine.
Meanwhile, Steve-O revealed that he convinced a doctor to paralyze him from the waist down for a stunt in the new movie.
asshole 4 will be released on October 22.
