The Aston Villa playmaker, who was reportedly costing £ 100million according to the Telegraph in previous transfer windows, looked impressive in England’s 1-0 win over the Czech Republic on Tuesday night.
Amid all the clamor for Grealish to finally start a tournament game, he’s certainly given Gareth Southgate something to think about in terms of team selection for the knockout stages next week.
But for some Arsenal fans, they were even more convinced that manager Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu should step up for the attacking midfielder this summer.
Judging by the response on social media, a number of fans are dreaming of an attacking midfielder trio of Grealish, Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe behind the center forward next season.
This is largely based on how Grealish and Saka combined for the Three Lions at Wembley Stadium.
And while there is little chance that the 25-year-old will trade Villa Park for Emirates Stadium during the summer transfer window, he made a rather exciting prediction about Saka after the prodigy performance of the Gunners against the Czechs.
“It’s no surprise to us,” Grealish said, according to the Independent. “He trained brilliantly, he was brilliant in training (Monday), so it was no surprise that he ended up starting the game.
“He’s fearless, he’s still young. He’s obviously a great, a great talent, a great player and he’s also actually a lovable and lovable kid.
