The lab leak theory, which has been treated as a conspiracy theory but is now gaining more attention, indicates that the coronavirus started in a lab in Wuhan, China, and is out.
“Facebook has banned any post for four months on COVID from a lab. Of course, now even the Biden administration is looking at this, ”Maher said on his show Friday.
“Google – a Wall Street Journal reporter asked the head of Google’s health division – noted that they don’t do autofill searches for ‘coronavirus lab leak’ like they do for any other question, and the guy said, “Well, we want to make sure that the research doesn’t lead people down paths where we would find non-authoritative information,” Maher added.
In a recent Fox News survey, 60% of voters believed the coronavirus had leaked from a laboratory in China.
Coronavirus was previously believed to occur naturally.
“Well, you got it wrong, Google and Facebook! Maher insisted. ” We do not know ! The reason we want you is because we check this shit out! “
Some have argued that giving credence to the laboratory leak theory would lead to anti-Asian hate crimes, as crimes against the Asian community have increased over the past year.
“China is doing bad things,” Maher said. “The Liberals don’t want to say anything because [the Chinese are] asian and [the liberals] don’t think about it very clearly, then they’re confusing it with anti-asian hate crimes here. It has nothing to do, one has nothing to do with the other. “
Maher also took to YouTube to censor Bret Weinstein’s podcast in which he spoke about a new drug called ivermectin that could be used to treat coronavirus.
“YouTube shouldn’t tell me what I can see on ivermectin,” Maher said. “Ivermectin is not a registered Republican. It’s a drug! I don’t know if it works or not, and neither do a lot of other doctors.
