Here is everything that was announced during the outrageous Devolver MaxPass Plus event – –

Devolver Digital returned to E3 with another unrestricted satirical stunt on the games industry, snapping photos of subscriptions, games as a service, and even NFT. Dubbed the Devolver MaxPass Plus – “the new era of monetization as a service” – the parody showcase features infamous Devolver leader Nina Struthers and her cohorts extolling the ridiculous virtues of her new service.

But aside from being the most irreverently entertaining segment of E3 (so far), the publisher has also included new game announcements. Here are the most notable:

Trek to Yomi

The first of these was the cutscene Trek to Yomi, with a trailer that isn’t quite a pre-rendered cinematic. The black and white game follows a young samurai who has sworn to protect his city and the people he loves from all threats. The game will arrive on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X / S, and Xbox One in 2022.

Sorcerer with a gun

Sorcerer with a gun lives up to its title of online cooperative sandbox survival game where you face dangerous creatures armed with magic and guns. It arrives on PC and consoles in 2022.

Encryption

Encryption comes from the creator of Pony Island and L’Hex, which combines deckbuilding with roguelike mechanics, escape room-style puzzles, and psychological horror. It’s coming to PC later this year.

Devolver Fall Time

Despite the satirical trailer, Devolver Fall Time is actually a real physics based puzzle game with a roster of characters from Devolver Games. It’s a free-to-play game coming to mobile, although there will likely be some commercials to watch, as nothing is ever truly free.

Demon Accelerator

Demon Accelerator is an 8-bit game from developer Doinksoft, the makers of Gato Roboto. Besides its old-fashioned gameplay, what makes this title stand out is that it’s not just a Nintendo Switch exclusive, it’s an all-physical version of Special Reserve Games.
