‘Happy Death Day’ Director Christopher Landon With Kidney Cancer Urges Fans To Watch Their Bodies – –

Christophe Landon, the director of the Happy day of the dead films, opens with the diagnosis of kidney cancer.

The 46-year-old filmmaker says he was rushed to emergency surgery about a week ago to have part of his kidney removed.

Chris says cancer was luckily caught early before it spread and urges fans to monitor their bodies, get medicals and get tested.

“Whelp… where to start. About a week ago I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. I was rushed to emergency surgery to have part of my kidney removed. I wasn’t going to post about it but I need it a bit because I got lucky and grabbed it early. It was a stroke of luck that it was discovered and it had not yet spread ”, Chris mentionned.

He continued, “PSA time: watch your body. Get a physical. Have it tested. Get imagery when you can. Some of these cancers are silent killers. You don’t know they’re there until it’s too late. I could have spent years walking with it without symptoms. I am very grateful to my doctors, my husband, my family and my friends. I’ll be fine, but please be vigilant too. ️ ”

We are so happy that Chris is getting better and the cancer was caught early!

It was announced earlier this year that Chris is working on restarting a popular franchise.
