Prism’Emploi, the French association of employment agencies, has announced that it has re-elected Gilles Lafon as its president for the eighth consecutive year.
Lafon is an experienced professional in the interim sector having been Managing Director of the interim branch of the ONET Group, President of the Professional Fund for Temporary Employment (FPE TT) as well as President of the Temporary Social Action Fund (Fastt) . He has also been a member of the Executive Council of the MEDEF employers’ federation (Mouvement des Entreprises de France) since 2008. He was Vice-President of Prism’emploi from 2007 to 2013, then President since 2013.
“I am delighted and proud to be able to continue to represent interim and recruiting professionals,” said Lafon. “I would particularly like to salute the dynamic and effective social dialogue that we have conducted between the social partners of the branch to ensure the protection of employees and companies in this unprecedented economic and social crisis. I pledge to continue to nurture this mobilization and to work hand in hand with all stakeholders to provide solutions, support and responses to all those who will need our support. The temping and recruitment sector offers solutions to contribute to the recovery, and will play its part.
Earlier this year, Prism’Emploi and Pôle Emploi, the French government agency for registering unemployed people, announced the signing of a three-year national framework agreement to strengthen their cooperation.
The two organizations plan to jointly mobilize their resources and expertise to improve the return to employment of job seekers and temporary workers and meet the recruitment needs of companies.
Lafon commented on the challenges of 2021 and indicated that the association will continue its commitments in terms of professional training to support the transitions of its employees.
“Our ambitious partnership with Pôle emploi will be an asset in finding solutions adapted to the needs and skills of each individual. Our sector knows how to demonstrate innovation and creativity for the employment of young people, seniors and professional categories furthest from employment. This is the roadmap I have set for myself for this year, and I know that I can count on the dedication of each of the players to get out of this crisis quickly.
