France scoring in both halves is one of the tips from our experts to bet on Hungary against France for the Euro 2021 Group F game.

France have the chance to take a giant step towards qualification against Group F minnows Hungary, who will desperately need a positive result after suffering an opening loss.

The Blues started the tournament as favorites to go all the way and the manner of their victory over Germany did little to quell the hype. The Magyars may have won praise for keeping defending champions Portugal silent for 84 minutes, but ultimately collapsed in a 3-0 loss, leaving them to face him.

France on the way to a sixth consecutive victory

Having previously suggested that France’s rearguard was not as tight as it could be, boss Didier Deschamps obviously focused his players and well-trained, and they easily blunted what on paper looked like to a powerful German front line in their opening match in Munich.

The 1-0 score flattered the home side. France hit the woodwork as well as some excluded goals for offside, and could easily have won by more.

If anything, the French played like second gear, happy to absorb the pressure and then hit the meter, and should have increased their score before the end.

Deschamps does not give the impression that he is a coach who takes too many risks, so he is likely to go more or less with his strongest team, with Benjamin Pavard in doubt after being knocked out against Germany, which is a source of problems for Hungary.

France have won their last five matches while keeping their clean sheet and a limited Hungarian side will not be able to prevent this series from becoming six.

Same game in two halves

There has been a lot of talk about the power of France’s attacking power and it can be hard to find a better striker than Kylian Mbappe, Karim Benzema and Antoine Griezmann – and then there’s the threat of Olivier Giroud from the bench.

Hungary are unlikely to face Les Bleus in their own game and will be at least positive in their game plan, having held Portugal at bay for 84 minutes.

But it’s a dangerous way to play and France are world champions for good reason. It was clear against Germany that they wanted to score first, dominating the game until they got the breakthrough.

Germany, world champion just seven years ago, lasted just 20 minutes as France dominated Joachim Low’s men.

The French have scored in the first half in six of their last seven games and there is no reason to suggest that Hungary will have a better chance of stopping them than Portugal, Wales, Sweden and many sure the Germans.

Deschamps’ side are likely to see a lot more ball against Hungary than against Die Mannschaft (42 percent) and they can make it count on Saturday as they look to erode Portugal’s top goal difference in the group.

Mbappe can riot

Hungary, having lost their first game and with their tournament life on the line, will at some point have to carry the game to the French if – as expected – they find themselves behind. This will make Kylian Mbappe’s game.

After being denied a goal, rightly so, against Germany, lightning-fast Mbappe will be desperate to be on the scoresheet and this game just might get him a day on the pitch.

The young superstar smashed 42 goals in 47 appearances last season and 11/10 on him scoring at any point in the game should definitely be factored in. However, for that extra comeback, 13/2 on a multi-goal game is tempting in a game his team will dominate from the start.
