Cowboys Music Festival Canceled Once Again Due to COVID-19 – –

CALGARY – For the second year in a row, the Cowboys Music Festival will not be held during the Calgary Stampede due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“This announcement breaks hearts and we are as saddened as you are,” read a statement released Thursday on social networks.

“We really never imagined that all of our #teamcowboys fans would be missed for the second year in a row. “

Officials said they tried to bypass federal, provincial and municipal health restrictions, but no solution could be found.

Instead, they are now planning a return in 2022.

“We have looked sideways over the last year and a half and we have to say we are absolutely amazed at how everyone has come through this difficult year,” the post read.

“Our healthcare workers, teachers, parents, students, children, frontline workers, families and local businesses, including our friends in the hospitality industry, it is your sense of community and your support that has given us hope and inspired us to be patient, wait our turn and put all we have to bring back the Cowboys Music Festival, better than ever, when the time is right and when everyone is safe. “
