I have to finish one more episode of Dave Grohl’s (and his mother’s) series From the cradle to the grave, at which point I will probably see it again, but in the meantime here is your Foo update:
The Foo can’t wait to get back on the road and will be performing a sold-out show at Madison Garden on Father’s Day. Prior to that, however, the band performed at a smaller venue, the Canyon Club, in California. The trap ? They only allowed fully vaccinated people to see them in the place of 600 people. It didn’t suit anti-vaccines, including Ricky Schroder, who recently returned to a Costco employer about their mask tenure and also called cops on Twitter trolls after being criticized for bailing out Kyle Rittenhouse .
“Dave Grohl is an ignorant punk who needs a slap in the face for supporting Discrimination. Ignorance comes in all shapes and sizes. Kurt Cobain laughs at you Dave with millions of patriots… fool, ”Schroder wrote on Facebook. I don’t know how he knows the state of mind of Kurt Cobain who passed away, but there you go. Additionally, Cobain suffered from crippling stomach disease and I’m sure he would have gladly taken a vaccine if that helped.
Many other idiots also took issue.
I will never buy another ticket for one @foofighters concert.
Not all people who choose NOT to vaccinate are conspiracy theorists. Some people very close to me suffer from autoimmune diseases which make the vaccine a high risk proposition.
“Mandatory vaccine” is the “blank only” of 2021. https://t.co/LDuwzw140V

The Foo Fighters play at Madison Square Garden, but only for the vaccinated! Rock artists used to question things and stick with the establishment, but not anymore; and some accept and even encourage discrimination.

This is what happens when you just want to attend a @foofighters concert in a small local concert hall and the next thing to know that you are a “segregationist vaccine”. #FooFighters pic.twitter.com/fyDAZ2QcXn

Separately, Courtney Love raised her eyebrows the other day when she took Grohl (and Trent Reznor) to the test in a now-deleted Instagram post in response to a question on Sharon Stone’s #metoo.
“I’ve had enough of this [Poo emoji] of those clowns who bend over my scapegoat for my breathing, for my husband’s death, for my “open” sexuality, because I’ve been a drug addict, etc., and a WOMAN, for over 27 years. “
“Three months before I left LA, I signed a document that effectively gives Dave [Grohl] (and Christ [Novoselic]) my descendants of money in perpetuity. I was so broken. So marked, so exhausted by it, I just signed it. But this is a lie. So I withdraw it.
“Because it’s nonsense. The chaos and fury of Kurt’s death being directed at me, diverted by Dave, as he got richer and continues to get richer, gorging on Kurt’s fortune and Kurt’s goodwill. 27! Years !!! I had enough. “
Love also accused Trent Reznor of “systematic abuse” of “girls as young as 12”.
Love’s issues with Dave Grohl are long standing. Nonetheless, the next day she apologized in another Instagram story post that appeared to be directed at both Grohl and Reznor. “I have to apologize for my recent message. It was insensitive and it was wrong. No matter how I feel, there are real people behind my words and I need to learn to be more responsible with my words. I am very sorry for those I hurt. I will do better, ”she said.
No idea what’s going on there, and I’m not going to speculate except to say that the apology appears to have been engineered by someone else and may or may not reflect Love’s real feelings on the matter.

Will “Hacks” have a season two? (Also, ‘Loki’, ‘Mythic Quest’, and more on Podjiba!) |
