Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky did not appear on the red carpet at the Golden Dinner at Sydney Airport on Thursday.
And according to a new report, the Hollywood power couple also made no offers at the event’s charity auction, despite their combined net worth of $ 180 million.
The charity was established to raise funds for the founding of Sydney Children’s Hospital.
Hmm: Chris Hemsworth, 37, and his wife Elsa Pataky, 44 (both pictured) raised eyebrows after ‘made no offers’ at a charity auction at the Gold Dinner star-studded Thursday in Sydney, source says
“It got really awkward because everyone kept looking at them to raise their hands and they didn’t,” said an insider who attended the Golden Dinner in Emerald City on Sunday.
Instead, Jeremy Bond, grandson of business mogul Alan, was the evening’s top bidder, dropping a five-figure sum at the auction, the source said.
However, Chris has reportedly donated two tickets to the Sydney premiere of his new movie, Thor: Love and Thunder.

The tickets went under the hammer for $ 60,000, according to the Sydney Morning Herald, and raised a record $ 5 million for the founding of the Sydney Children’s Hospital.
After the event, Chris shared a post on Instagram about the good night and how much money was raised to help children in need.
“Amazing night at the #golddinner event to raise money, support, awareness for one of the most difficult issues we face, children’s mental health,” he wrote.

“Breaking records and raising more than 5 million dollars,” he added, before thanking all the participants.
Emma Cooper, a member of the event committee, told the publication the Hemsworths have done a fantastic job raising money for a good cause.
“They stuck to the end of the promises and did an amazing job of making the night a huge success,” she said.
“There was no obligation for them to stay for the after party,” she added.
Chris and Elsa were joined at the event by Chris’s younger brother Liam and girlfriend Gabriella Brooks and their friend Luciana Barroso, wife of actor Matt Damon.
Unlike the sparkling array of stars who made an appearance at the exclusive party, Chris and his group opted to skip the red carpet and slip into the fundraiser out of the blue.
Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Chris Hemsworth and event planners for comment.
