Britney Spears: Stars send messages of support after guardianship court speech

Britney Spears has apologized to fans for not being honest about her feelings about her controversial guardianship.

In the post, Spears wrote: “I just want to tell you a little secret… I believe as people we all want fairytale life and besides I posted… my life seems to be pretty and pretty amazing… i think thats what we are all looking for !!!!

“It was one of the best traits my mom had… no matter how great it was when I was younger… for the sake of me and my siblings, she always pretended everything was okay.

“I’m bringing this to people’s attention because I don’t want people to think my life is perfect because IT DEFINITELY ISN’T AT ALL… and if you’ve read something about me in the news this week … You really really know now it’s not !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! “

The chart-topping singer, who hasn’t performed since 2018, also said pretending to be okay on social media has “really helped.”

During his court appearance, Spears said the guardianship – of which she has been a victim since 2008 after suffering a series of mental breakdowns – forced her to work, comparing it to sex trafficking.

Spears said other people had exploited her throughout her life and that it was her “wish and her dream that this would all end.”

She called on the judge to end the guardianship without the need for further medical evaluation and criticized her father, Jamie, who has supervised much of her life for the past 13 years.

Jamie Spears and his lawyers say the star and his fortune, with court records of over $ 50million (around £ 36million), remain vulnerable to fraud and manipulation and he l ‘saved from financial ruin.
