Fans requested a Black Widow movie since the first Avengers, but he never came. Now that Endgame has come and gone, we finally have a Black Widow just movies.
The future of Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe hinges solely on Kevin Feige, and he clarified at the Black Widow press conference in the presence of /Film that he’s trying to make things happen. He suggests that more prequel movies could be in future cinematic phases. He says: “Certainly, this movie and this story is a special case for Natasha. But the idea of exploring the past, present, and future of the MCU is certainly in the cards for all of our characters. This particular story of this particular cast is very personal, very specific to Natasha. “
Of course, Feige suggested that this type of approach would only happen if the story is creatively compelling enough to warrant a movie, but with Black Widow, his reasons for making this film are clear. “We knew very precisely that there was a great period of his life that we did not know, not only his childhood, but that period between Civil war and Infinity war. And this period, we felt it was a right to focus creatively on being able to discover more about our past and more about our present. And… give a hint about the inheritance in the future.
Black Widow could technically be considered a phase three film since it takes place between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. This single-player story will explore her upbringing and how she was turned into one of the world’s deadliest assassins.
What other characters do you think deserve a prequel / solo movie? I think delving deep into Valkyrie’s life and the war with Hela would be exciting.
Since social media embargo lifted last week, critics sang its praises, and I can’t wait to see it finally!
Black Widow hits theaters and on Disney + Premier Access from July 9, 2021
