Alpecin-Fenix has unveiled its kit and colors for the 2021 Tour de France, and they appear to be a new theme.
A tribute to the great French cyclist Raymond Poulidor, the Alpecin-Fenix colors date back some 45 years and closely resemble the colors won by Mathieu van der Poel’s grandfather during his last Tour de France.
Visit @LeTour debut, 45 years after the last Grande Boucle of the French legend Raymond Poulidor, we want to say Merci Poupou! 💜💛

“Pou-Pou” Poulidor raced for the Mercier team throughout his professional career which has straddled the great Jacques Anquetil and Eddy Merckx. Poulidor has finished in second place three times and third place five times on the Tour. Poulidor died in November 2019.
The Mercier – BP – Hutchinson colors have been adopted by Team Alpecin-Fenix for this year’s Tour where van der Poel will undoubtedly go hunting in stages. The distinctive colors should be easy to spot from the aerial camera.
Those who wish can buy the limited edition Alpecin-Fenix jersey or a t-shirt on the Mercipoupou website.
