All 707 new Lancashire coronavirus cases by location – .


More than 700 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in Lancashire, according to the latest figures.
The number is down from the 796 announced yesterday with small drops in most boroughs.

Of the 707 new confirmed cases in the past 24 hours, a total of 124 have been reported in Blackburn with Darwen.

Another 63 were recorded in each of Chorley and Preston while South Ribble’s tally rose to 60.

Fylde recorded the smallest daily increase with 16, while nearby Blackpool recorded 56.

The government said as of 9 a.m. on Friday there had been 10,476 more laboratory-confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the UK.

Another 11 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Friday, bringing the UK total to 127,956.

Separate figures released by the Office for National Statistics also show that there have been 153,000 registered deaths in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.
