100 new cases of COVID in Alberta on Sunday – .


Since yesterday’s update, an Albertan has died from COVID. To date, 2,290 people in the province have died from the virus.
Provincially, 214 patients are currently hospitalized, 53 of whom have been admitted to intensive care.

3,775,674 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered at the end of June 19. More and more people are now eligible to receive their second dose.

With 4,878 more tests done in the past day, there have now been a total of 4,640,266 tests done on 2,171,101 different people.

Here is a breakdown of cases by health zone in Alberta:

  • Calgary area – 94,154 cases, 1,005 active
    • 107 in hospital, 28 in intensive care
    • 697 deaths (one new)
  • Zone d’Edmonton – 77,619 cases, 404 active
    • 51 in hospital, 14 in intensive care
    • 1,103 deaths
  • North Zone – 26,386 cases, 420 active
    • 24 in hospital, five in intensive care
    • 192 deaths
  • Central areas – 20,718 cases, 218 active
    • 21 in hospital, seven in intensive care
    • 165 deaths
  • South Zone – 12,470 cases, 78 active
    • 11 in hospital, one in intensive care
    • 133 deaths

  • Lethbridge – 4,834 cases (one new), 12 active, 39 deaths
    • West Lethbridge – 1,770 cases, three active, four deaths
    • North Lethbridge – 1,611 cases (one new), four active, 11 deaths
    • South Lethbridge – 1,452 cases, five active, 24 deaths
  • Brooks – 1,502 cases, seven active, 15 deaths
  • Medicine hat – 1,259 cases, 22 active, 22 deaths
  • County of Lethbridge – 1,256 cases, five active, 12 deaths
  • Cardston County – 1,025 cases, one active, 18 deaths
  • Managing Director of Taber – 571 cases, zero active, six deaths
  • Warner County – 469 cases, five active, three deaths
  • Pincher Creek General Manager – 318 cases, 13 active, five deaths
  • Fort Macleod – 322 cases, two active, six deaths
  • Cypress County – 300 cases, five active, one death
  • Newell County – 241 cases, three active, two deaths
  • Forty Mile County – 157 cases, zero assets, three deaths
