And on Tuesday night, as the party unfolded at 02 Arena in London, there were moments that were drowned out by white noise as the show aired on ITV.
As famous faces heal their hangovers, here’s a look at what really was said during the deaf moments that unfolded at the 2021 edition of the Music Awards.
Lewis Capaldi was silenced during the show when he decided to let out a series of swear words.
Lewis showcased his foul language vocabulary as he took the stage to present an award to Dua Lipa.
He greeted the fans: “Hello motherf *** ers! Before it was hastily cut off by ITV.
The Scottish native was then heard for another section before joking: “I’m f *** ing s-”
Once again he was silent and then said, “Sorry, I’m reading a map here… how is everyone doing? It’s great to be here tonight.
“It’s just great to be out of the house to be honest,” he was interrupted again.
The singer was then heard again saying: “Hopefully this year will be even bigger and better than ever for British music and of course also hope Scotland wins the Euros!” “
Lewis’s football comments didn’t go well with the crowd booing in response.
Later on Twitter, a video was posted sharing what Lewis said after being repeatedly muted.
The uncensored clip revealed that Lewis said, “I’m sweating in here. It’s like a swamp out there… sweaty bitches. “
In another muted section, he added, “It’s been a great year for albums, mostly because I haven’t released any yet.
When the audio was cut again, he held the memory card and shouted, “I didn’t write! ”
Jack Whitehall – who was responsible for hosting the event – also had his microphone removed during the ceremony.
When the comedian’s audio was taken off the air, fans wondered what had been said.
A smoke: “WAIT WHAT JACK WHITEHALL just said ?? WHY DID THEY CUT IT ??? “
