Westbrook leads Wizards to 133-132 ot win over Pacers – fr

Russell Westbrook scored 33 points, had 19 rebounds and provided 15 assists to lead the Washington Wizards to a 133-132 overtime win over the Indiana Pacers on Saturday night. If that wasn’t enough, he tied Oscar Robertson’s career triple-double record. And if this memorable evening was ALWAYS not enough, he even made two free throws with a second left in overtime to lead Washington to victory!

And there’s more! Westbrook BLOCKED a potential EXTRA BUZZER shot!

The Wizards finished the first half with a 63-62 lead with Bradley Beal scoring 26 of his 50 points. He was unable to play in overtime due to an injury he sustained in the second half. He seemed to be doing fine according to radio announcer Dave Johnson after the game, so hopefully Beal doesn’t miss any games during Washington’s playoff push.

In the end, the Pacers were able to catch up and even lead by 12 points for a fourth quarter time, but the Wizards were able to tie the score so we could watch five more minutes of basketball. Domantis Sabonis led Indiana with 30 points, 13 rebounds and 13 assists with his own triple-double.

I don’t know what else to say in this one. Washington is warming up at the right time of year and is now NINTH in the Eastern Conference, passing Indiana, which is now tenth. If the gambling game was today, they HOST the game, and will not be playing on the road like they are tonight.

The Wizards’ next game is Monday, when they face the Atlanta Hawks. The tip-off is at 7:30 p.m. ET.
