Warriors’ Stephen Curry becomes fastest to make 300 3 points in one season in NBA history – fr

Golden State Warriors goalie Stephen Curry continues to rewrite the NBA history books, and believe it or not, there are still shooting records he hasn’t broken. He ticked another off the list Tuesday night, as he became the fastest player to reach 300 3 points in a single season in their game against the New Orleans Pelicans. It took only 58 games for Curry to hit 300 this season.

In addition to that mark, Curry also joined Ray Allen (2973) as the only player in NBA history to reach 2800 career 3 points. At this point, it’s only a matter of time until Curry overtakes Allen to become the all-time 3-point NBA leader. The two-time MVP has been on an absolute tear this season, and it almost single-handedly made the Warriors want to make the Western Conference playoffs. In the process, he inspired his teammates – and sowed fear in his opponents.

“Every time you walk on the floor with Steph Curry, there’s an advantage there,” Warriors forward Draymond Green said after their victory over the Pelicans on Monday, via the Mercury News. “So the teams are terrified of him – and wherever he runs on the floor, with or without the ball, the teams are terrified. That kind of gravity, he pulls a lot of weight… I wouldn’t want to see a team with Steph Curry on it. We all know what he’s capable of. The guy can pick up a game and make it tough for any team in the NBA any night. ”

Warriors forward Juan Toscano-Anderson used a Mike Tyson analogy to explain what it’s like to be on the same side as the best shooter in the game.

“If you were arguing on the street and had Mike Tyson with you, how would you feel?” It’s the best analogy I can give you, ”Toscano-Anderson said. “It makes you all the more confident. I have Steph Curry on my team, I feel good. “

Curry put on a show this season and he gave fans a plethora of memorable moments. He’s turned an otherwise mediocre Warriors squad into a staple TV every night since he’s basically “on fire” in NBA Jam style since the start of the season. It’s fair to wonder how long Curry can continue on its current production rate, but so far it hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down.
