Manson faces two counts of simple assault stemming from the incident, which allegedly took place during his performance on the Hell Never Dies tour on August 19, 2019.
Yesterday (May 25), the Gilford Police Department released a statement:“Mr. Warner, his agent and his attorney have known about the warrant for some time and no effort has been made by him to return to New Hampshire to answer the outstanding charges. Mr Warner had performed at the Bank of NH Pavilion on August 18, 2019, when the alleged simple assaults occurred.
“The videographer had been contracted out by an NH-based company to film the concert, and had been located in the pit area when the alleged assaults occurred. “
“The alleged assaults are not of a sexual nature, as several other media have requested due to a number of other allegations made against Mr. Warner. “
If convicted of the charges, Manson could face a jail term of up to one year and a fine of up to $ 2,000.
Three people at the concert, a headlining date with Rob Zombie, told People they saw Manson spit and “shoot his snot” at the camera during his show.
“He was spitting all over the place and once he fell on her camera, so she wiped it off and looked half irritated.” He noticed this and continued to deliberately spit at his camera, ”says one participant. I think his last drop was that he fell to the ground, got within 2-3 feet of her, and hacked a giant snot rocket on her and not the camera. She was pissed off and disgusted so she left and he just laughed.
“I stopped listening to his music after that and told my husband that I would never go to another of his concerts again,” added the witness.
A second participant supported this statement, saying that Manson “bent down to shoot his snot at this woman. I remember him laughing at what he did.
“I was right there when it happened, she was beyond pissed off when he did this to her,” said a security guard at the scene. “He spat on her a few times, then leaned very close to the camera and blew a huge snot rocket at her. After doing this, she almost threw her camera on the ground.
Manson’s attorney, Howard King, responded to the allegations saying, “It’s no secret to anyone who has attended a Marilyn Manson concert that he enjoys being provocative on stage, especially in front of a camera. This tort claim was pursued after we received a claim from a room videographer for over $ 35,000 after a small amount of sputum came in contact with their arm. After asking for evidence of alleged damage, we never received a response. This whole claim is ridiculous, but we remain determined to cooperate with the authorities, as we always have. “
Marilyn Manson has faced allegations of sexual abuse from many women, including her former girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood, in recent months. Another ex-girlfriend, Game of Thrones actor Esme Bianco, is currently suing Manson for rape, sexual assault and human trafficking. Bianco also named Warner manager Tony Ciulla and his company Ciulla Management as defendants in the lawsuit.
