Tom Welling is ready to play Superman vs. Robert Pattinson’s Batman – fr

It’s been over a year since Tom Welling made his long awaited return to Smallville to reprise his iconic role as Clark Kent for Part 2 of The CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event, and fans are wondering if this is really the last time they’ll see Welling’s version of Clark Kent, especially when some fans of the superhero series were disappointed because they didn’t couldn’t see the actor don a Superman costume.

In a previous interview with Ernestoneitor’s El Mundo geek, when asked about his potential return as the Man of Steel in a movie set, Welling revealed he’s up for playing Superman as long as it’s in a DC movie with Robert Pattinson’s version of Batman. The actor thinks it would be fun to do, due to his friendship with Pattinson.

“Yeah, I think that would be cool,” Welling said. “My buddy Rob Pattinson, he’s going to be the new Batman. I would love it. It would be fun to be the Superman that appears in his movie, just because he’s a friend of mine. Yeah, who knows?

Alongside Robert Pattinson’s Batman / Bruce Wayne is Zoë Kravitz (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Mad Max: Fury Road) like Selina Kyle; Paul Dano (Love and mercy, 12 years of slavery) like Edward Nashton; Jeffrey Wright (the Hunger games films) like James Gordon of the GCPD; John Turturro (the Transformers films) like Carmine Falcone; Peter Sarsgaard (The Magnificent Seven, Black Mass) comme Gotham DA Gil Colson; Jayme Lawson (Goodbye Amor) as mayoral candidate Bella Reál; with Andy Serkis (the Planet of the Apes films, Black Panther) like Alfred; and Colin Farrell (fantastic beasts and where to find them, Dumbo) like Oswald Cobblepot. Twins Max and Charlie Carver also joined the film in “important roles”.

The batman is directed by Matt Reeves from a screenplay he co-wrote with Peter Craig. During the last year of the DC FanDome, Reeves confirmed that the film will focus on Bruce Wayne’s sophomore year as Batman and, according to Walter Hamada, in a different universe separated from Justice League DCEU characters. It is also described as a detective story that follows a series of murders that opens the story of corruption in Gotham and how Bruce’s family is linked.

Reeves and Dylan Clark (the Planet of the Apes films) are producing the film, with Simon Emanuel, Michael E. Uslan, Walter Hamada and Chantal Nong Vo as executive producers.
