Eagles general manager Howie Roseman explained the incident which resulted in footage of an awkward exchange between him and senior director of player personnel Tom Donahoe. Now Donahoe has shared his side of the story.
Via ESPN.com’s Chris Mortensen, Donahoe said he was flabbergasted by the viral video and being characterized as a sign of contention.
Of course, he is a sign of discord.
« This is stupidDonahoe told Mortensen. “I didn’t even know I was in front of the camera. I thought Howie and [V.P. of player personnel] Andy Weidl led as good a draft as we have had in my 10 years.
The fact that Donahoe didn’t know he was on camera makes the moment even more real. It’s obvious to anyone with eyes that Donahoe and Roseman had a weird moment, and Roseman has since made it clear that Donahoe doesn’t want the Eagles to go from No.70 to No.73, especially since the guy that Donahoe wanted was drafted. in the meantime.
So there was something to it. Donahoe might not like it had become something, but it was. Because it was. If anything, the Donahoe side of the story points it out.
