Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson slowly teased a handful of looks at his next Black Adam character, with a preview of the costume posted on his Instagram. According to the producing partner of the superstar actors, the group has big dreams of Black adam and its future.

According to an interview with Variety, Dany Garcia, who is Johnson’s production partner and ex-wife, spoke about the upcoming DCEU movie and said the hope is that Black Adam is just the first of many films. “We want to do a lot. We are excited about our long term relationship with DC on this property.

It’s unclear how many appearances Black Adam will make during his time at the DCEU, but he’s an important figure in DC’s comedic lore. With the rest of the DCEU currently in flux, it will be interesting to see how society handles this character, especially with a star as huge as Johnson in the role.

Black adam will star Dwayne Johnson, who has been known to be the popular antihero for quite some time now. The film will be directed by Jaume-Collet-Serra, with a screenplay written by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshiryani. Black adam is expected to feature the live introduction of the Justice Society of America, with Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Aldis Hodge as Hawkman.

Black adam is currently slated for July 29, 2022, having been pushed back from a December 2021 release.
