The queen is said to be “deeply upset” by Prince Harry’s recent comments on his life in the royal family and the parenthood of Prince Charles. Prince Harry and Meghan’s shocking interview with Oprah earlier this year has already led to rumors of tension between the couple and the royal family. Although it was Harry’s appearance on actor Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast that got people talking once again. Here he spoke of “genetic pain and suffering” which he said was “passed on” in the royal family. He also explained that he wanted to ‘break the cycle’ of pain for his own children, with his second child and Meghan’s expected later this year.
Reflecting on parenthood in the royal family, Harry went on to discuss the education of his father, Prince Charles, saying: “I started putting it back together and saying ‘Okay, so that’s where it is. he went to school this is what happened i know this about his life i also know this is related to his parents so that means he treated me like he has been treated, so how can I change this for my own children? ”
Some saw this as an apparent criticism of not only the Prince of Wales parenthood, but the Queen and Prince Philip as well. Following this interview, Prince Charles was asked about Prince Harry’s comments on the royal family. Now, it has been suggested that the Queen has taken them “very personally” to what is already a difficult time following Prince Philip’s death.
According to The Mail on Sunday, a source said: “Harry’s grandmother has taken this very personally and is deeply upset by what Harry has said, especially his comments on Charles’ parenthood and suggesting that his father does not know. no better because of the way he was brought up. . It has been a very emotional time.
While Prince Harry’s podcast remarks shocked many royal fans, he also discussed his father’s parenthood in his new Apple TV + documentary series, The Me You Can’t See.
“My dad used to tell me when I was younger, ‘Well, it was like that for me, so it’s going to be like that for you,’” he said.
However, despite this astonishing revelation, it appears Prince Charles remains hopeful that he and his youngest son can get closer again in the future and not seek to distance themselves from Harry.
“I don’t think the prince will interrupt his son despite what Harry said,” a friend told The Mail on Sunday.
“Charles is such a kind man and above all a devoted father. He will feel miserable. He wants to seek reconciliation. He is not at all vindictive, ”they added.
