Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel was not too happy with Chris Paul’s box against LeBron James in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 99-90 loss to the Phoenix Suns.
James was writhing in pain after Paul briefly grabbed the quadruple MVP’s left arm while struggling for a rebound. Officials called a free ball foul on the Suns star.

After the match, Vogel said Paul’s actions were “too aggressive” and “dangerous” as James twisted his left shoulder during the streak, according to USA Today’s Mark Medina.

Paul denied any intention to hurt his close friend.

“I don’t know anything about it,” Paul told Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports. “I have absolutely nothing to say about it. We just play basketball and compete. “

The series of events led to a massive skirmish between members of both clubs.

Lakers goaltender Alex Caruso and teammate Montrezl Harrell each received a technical foul. Meanwhile, officials gave Suns guard Cameron Payne two techniques and kicked him out of Sunday’s competition.
