In a statement, a spokesperson for Tesco said Birmingham and direct : “Since the start of the pandemic, we have worked to ensure that everyone can get the food they need in a safe environment.
“To protect our customers and colleagues, we will not allow anyone in our stores who does not wear a face mask, unless they are exempt as per government guidelines.
“We also ask our customers to shop on their own, unless they are accompanying or with children. To support our colleagues, we will have additional store security to help manage this. “
