Stephen Amell’s Starz Wrestling Drama Heels Gets Trailer & Premiere Date – fr


Starz released the official Heels trailer, which reveals when the show will premiere. Coming later this summer, the show will premiere on August 15, 2021. Starring Stephen Amell and Alexander Ludwig, two brothers involved in the world of independent wrestling. Amell is no stranger to the professional wrestling world as he appeared in a WWE SummerSlam match and during the All In pay-per-view hosted by Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks.

Amell will play Jack Spade, while Ludwig is his younger brother named Ace. The drama series also stars Alison Luff as Staci Spade, Jack’s wife who learns she has to deal with the emotional issues her in-laws have invested in their wrestling goals and the demands it places on them. his family; Mary McCormack as Willie Day, Jack’s business partner and the logistical mastermind behind the local wrestling organization; Kelli Berglund as Crystal Tyler, Ace’s valet and sweetheart; Allen Maldonado as Rooster Robbins, one of the best wrestlers on the tour who always has something to prove and still supports him; two-time Super Bowl champion James Harrison as Apocalypse, a fellow wrestler who has worked for decades and has no illusions of fame or glory; and Chris Bauer as Wild Bill Hancock, a former larger-than-life wrestling star who is now a top professional wrestling scout.

HeelsThe official synopsis describes it as “a story of men and women chasing their dreams in the world of small town pro wrestling.” Set in a tight-knit Georgian community, it follows a promotion of family wrestling as two brothers and rivals fight for their late father’s legacy. The show is written and created by executive producer Michael Waldron (Loki, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness), while Executive producer Mike O’Malley will serve as showrunner. Peter Segal (50 Premier Appointment) is set up to direct multiple episodes and serves as executive producer. Julie Yorn of LBI Entertainment (Against all odds), Christopher Donnelly and Patrick Walmsley will also be executive producers. The show is produced by Lionsgate TV for Starz in association with Paramount Television Studios.
