Spain defends decision to welcome British tourists again as France and Germany tighten restrictions | Travel News


France then followed suit, saying Britons traveling to the country should be quarantined for seven days and provide a negative coronavirus test to prevent the spread of the Indian variant.
Portugal, the first major European holiday destination to be on the UK’s green travelers list, is asking UK tourists to show proof of a negative Covid test to enter.

The number of British holidaymakers to Spain has been low so far due to its orange status, which means sun worshipers must be quarantined when they return home.

However, Carolina Darias, Spain’s Minister of Health, has defended the decision to put the UK on the country’s safety list and exempt the British from providing proof of beatings or negative Covid tests.
