Aurier signed for Spurs from the Paris giants in the summer of 2017 and is under contract with Tottenham until the end of next season.
However, with much speculation about his future Spurs, Aurier has made it clear that he is ready to leave Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and will not extend his current contract with the club.
“Everyone is aware that if I wanted to extend my contract at Tottenham I would have done so already. I won’t do it in six months, ”Aurier told L’Equipe.
“I have reached the end of a cycle and it is time to look elsewhere. Both sides, the Tottenham board and my agents, have agreed on the terms. We’ll see after. “
Aurier has revealed he wants to return to former club PSG, the team he supports but has not closed the door to alternative destinations if a deal with the French side cannot be reached.
“I have never hidden my desire to return to PSG one day. This is the club of my heart, the one I support and I feel free to talk about it.
“But I don’t want people to think I’m stuck with them and I don’t close the door on anyone. But if the club made an offer this summer, PSG would be my first choice for sure. ”
The current PSG coach is former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, although by next season the Argentine could be back in the Tottenham dugout, if reports are to be believed.
However, Aurier is hoping to reconnect with his former manager in Paris and believes Pochettino is set to thrive at the Parc des Princes.
“We had a great relationship, despite what happened,” he said. “There wasn’t a serious problem between us but you’re never the happiest player when you’re not on the pitch.
