DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Dallas Police confirm that the remains found by an investigative team working for Paul Quinn College on Thursday, May 13 were those of James Alan White, who disappeared last October.
His remains were in a wooded area northwest of the campus.

On Friday, May 14, the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office positively identified the body as White’s.

The cause of death is still undetermined.

The investigation remains active and ongoing, and the Homicide Unit is asking anyone with information about White’s case to contact Detective Eric Barnes at (214) 283-4818 or [email protected]

A private fund offers a reward of $ 10,000 for information regarding White’s case.

White, 55, worked for financial accounting giant KPMG.

He had been missing since the morning of October 22, 2020 after his family said they were last seen walking out of the LA Fitness parking lot on Haskell Avenue in the Uptown neighborhood of Dallas in a black 2020 Porsche Macan.

White’s family then released surveillance footage of October 22 around 6 a.m. in a RaceTrac at 2506 Inwood Road.

The video appeared to show White wearing a red tank top and filling his vehicle with gasoline.

The Porsche was recovered by police on October 29, in South Dallas, near Simpson Stuart and Bonnie View Road.

“Alan is a very loving, kind and generous person,” his brother Tim White said last October. “He had no reason to get up and go, that’s what’s mind blowing,” Tim said. “The short distance between the gym and the house, how he could have disappeared, is the hardest part.”
