Quiet Place II trailer sees terrified Emily Blunt fighting for survival, including John Krasinski – fr

It’s been almost 14 months since the film’s original release date as horror fans (silently) suffer in anticipation.

And it looks like the sequel will be well worth the wait.

The latest trailer for A Quiet Place II released on Thursday and features everything fans of the original would want, including Emily Blunt who is fighting for her survival while protecting her children and even an appearance by John Krasinski.

Surprise: he even features an appearance by John Krasinski

While Kraskinski’s character, 41-year-old Lee Abbott, perished in the first film, it was truly surprising to see him open the trailer as he walked into a drugstore.

He notices that the store clerk has completely turned around and watches something on the news before asking, “What happened?”

The man responds, “A bomb I think,” then all hell breaks loose, sending Lee running through the streets to grab his daughter Regan (played by Millicent Simmonds) to escape an attack.

He then switches to Blunt’s character, Evelyn, 38, walking through the forest with Regan and her son Marcus (played by Noah Jupe).

There is no doubt that seeing what was left of the family in the outside world is a big shock because the first film took place entirely in their home but one thing still remained; they still have to keep quiet to avoid being attacked by blind monsters with a keen sense of hearing.

Evelyn had one foot completely bandaged as she walked as gently as she could over dried leaves as they began their journey away from home.

New cast members for the sequel are Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou, as both were also featured in the trailer.

Emmett, the bearded Cillian character, 44, is shown in a bar as he tells Evelyn, “I don’t know why you came here. Nothing is left.’

Evelyn responds heroically, “There are people over there. People worth saving.

She is then shown raising a shotgun and cocking it while pointing the barrel at an enemy before all hell breaks loose with various scenes of the group trying to avoid the monsters.

At one point, the character of 57-year-old Djimon – who has yet to be named – tells Emmett, “Most people had finally given up hope. “

At one point, Emily is shown with tears streaming down her face as she visits a grave – presumably Lee’s – as she takes a deep breath while placing her forehead on the cross.

The rest of the trailer was filled with short clips of the crew trying to stay away from the monsters and ends with Evelyn breathing in what looks like an underground shelter when a figure appears in the water behind her.

She then grabs her children as they jump into a safe together and attempt to close the door when it is ripped off at the end of the trailer.

Last month, Krasinski announced that the highly anticipated sequel would be released on Memorial Day weekend, more than a year after its original release date.

The sequel was originally slated for release on March 20, 2020, with Paramount initially saying it would not push the release.

However, just a week before it was supposed to hit theaters, Paramount pulled it from its release schedule, as theaters across the country closed.

It was initially postponed to September 4, but since theaters were still closed, it was postponed to April 23, 2021.

In January, when COVID-19 cases exploded across America, the studio pushed the sequel to September 17, 2021.

Krasinski directed and starred in the 2018 hit A Quiet Place alongside his wife Emily Blunt and Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe as their on-screen children.

The film followed their family as they adapted to a new world where alien predators hunt by sound, having wiped out most of humanity.

The sequel follows the family as they venture outside their quiet home in the woods and discover that there are more dangerous threats besides these monsters.

Krasinski returned for the sequel to direct from his own screenplay, based on characters created by A Quiet Place writers Scott Beck and Bryan Woods.

A Quiet Place Part II can be seen in theaters in the US on Friday May 28 and in the UK on June 3. It will later be available to stream on the Paramount Plus streaming service 45 days after its theatrical debut.
