Oprah reveals the ‘inappropriate question’ she once asked Sally Field that still makes her ‘cringe’ – fr

Oprah is one of the biggest celebrities in the world, but even she has moments that make her “cringe”.

The 67-year-old talk show host said during an episode of Rob Lowe’s podcast, Literally! that she regrets an “inappropriate question” that she once asked 74-year-old actress Sally Field.

“My big mistake: I asked him, ‘Does Burt sleep with his hairpiece? She recalls, referring to the Oscar-winning actress’ relationship with Burt Reynolds.

“I say even now, I cringe at the thought that I even asked that question.” But I asked it because the producers say, “You have to ask, you have to ask, you have to ask. That’s what everyone wants to know, ”she continued.

Field and Reynolds date back several years to the late 1970s. The legendary actor died in September 2018 at the age of 82.

“And so I asked for her, and she got cold with me. It closed and I couldn’t go back, ”she added.

“It was like, ‘Whoa, Sally chilled me on live TV,’ she continued, saying she had a frosty attitude for the rest of the interview.

“My big mistake: I asked him, ‘Does Burt sleep with his hairpiece? “She recalls, referring to the Oscar winner’s then relationship with Burt Reynolds.

“Cringe”: “I say even now, I cringe even thinking that I asked that question. But I asked it because the producers say, “You have to ask, you have to ask, you have to ask. That’s what everyone wants to know, ”continued the talk show host (here in 2020)

“I earned it, I earned it, I earned it, because it’s such an inappropriate question… She certainly didn’t answer it. And then it doesn’t matter what else I said.

“In the meantime, I still want to know,” Lowe, 57, said with a laugh.

Winfrey explained that she felt she had to ask the star about her relationship: “Flubs in the world was when I was younger and not living from a surrogate’s point of view, but I felt responsible for asking the questions people wanted.

He sprang from the star, but stressed that he was aware of this other aspect of his personality.

“He’s one of the most incredible actors I’ve ever known, but when Sally is cold it’s like Khrushchev during the Cold War. She will bury you, ”he explained.
