NHL COVID Protocol List - March 17

Continuing the remainder of the 2020-21 season, the NHL shares the names of players “unavailable” to the club (to train, travel or play in games) due to COVID protocols. These “COVID protocol-related absences” can be the result of a number of factors, including: (1) an initial positive test that remains unconfirmed until confirmatory testing is completed according to the positive test protocol ; (2) compulsory isolation for symptomatic persons according to the positive test protocol; (3) quarantine required as high risk close contact according to positive testing protocol; (4) isolation based on a confirmed positive test result and / or; (5) quarantine for travel or other reasons as outlined in the COVID-19 protocol.
No further details will be provided by the League or the Club, including the precise reason why the Player is unavailable or the duration of his absence.

On match days, teams have until 5 p.m. local time to report their results.
