New Loki poster shows characters from the show (including a mysterious cartoon clock) – fr

Disney has released a new poster for Loki, the original Marvel Studios series which is set to premiere on Disney + on June 9, 2021. official Loki account shared the latest piece of art in the upcoming series, which features the evil god at the center. He is surrounded by several characters from the series, including a mysterious cartoon clock. “Marvel Studios’ Loki arrives in four weeks with new episodes every Wednesday starting June 9 on Disney +,” the caption that accompanies the poster reads.
The animated anthropomorphic clock appears to the side of the image, superimposing a larger clock-shaped dial that hints at the multiple realities expected in the show. It is unclear what role the clock is expected to play in the series, although it is plausible that it could be a mascot for the Time Variance Authority, supporting Owen Wilson’s Mobius M. Mobius (also on the picture).
TVA is a largely faceless bureaucracy, as most of its agents are artificial clones called chronometers, which could also be what we see depicted here. A new stopwatch comes to life whenever a change in the timeline creates a divergent reality, and anyone who tries to use time travel to change the past or the future must respond to the organization.Loki follows the God of Wickedness as he emerges from his brother’s shadow and embarks on a new series that takes place after the events of 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. Tom Hiddleston returns as the main character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku, and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron is the director of the series and Michael Waldron is the lead writer. Herron previously revealed that Loki will be heading to “an entirely new part of the MCU” as the mischievous character is expected to appear at different points in human history, influencing historical events. The series is said to be linked to the events of Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, which is currently slated for release on March 25, 2022.

Very few details are known about Loki’s connection to the MCU movie, but we do know that Doctor Strange’s sequel is going to tie into the events of Spider-Man 3 and WandaVision as well. Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff will appear alongside Benedict Cumberbatch’s Steven Strange, and Kevin Feige has said the multiverse will be a recurring theme throughout Phase Four and beyond.
