Toronto-based research group ICES listed the postal code areas in Ontario with the highest positivity rates for the week of May 2-8.
Among the 50 first registered, eight are in Mississauga (against seven the previous week):
L4T at 22.55% (Goreway and Morning Star zone)
3rd highest positivity zone in Ontario (5th the previous week)
L4X at 18.60% (Bloor and Fieldgate area)
8th highest positivity zone in Ontario (14th the previous week)
L5A at 17.21% (Bloor and Central Pkwy E area)
11th highest zone of positivity in Ontario (37th the previous week)
L5W at 16.49% (Derry and Mavis area)
15th highest positivity zone in Ontario (40th the previous week)
L4Z at 14.81% (Hurontario and Bristol Rd E area)
32nd highest positivity zone in Ontario (41st the previous week)
L5B at 14.41% (Hurontario area from Highway 403 to QEW)
37th highest positivity zone in Ontario (23rd the previous week)
13.75% L5R (McLaughlin and Bristol Rd W area)
46th highest positivity zone in Ontario (not listed the previous week)

For the same week, Brampton had 10 areas ranked in the top 50.
The same data for the week indicates that of Ontario’s 34 public health units, the Region of Peel (Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon) has the worst COVID-19 percent positivity for the eighth week in a row.
For all residents of Ontario, the overall percentage of positivity among those tested for COVID-19 during the week of May 2 was 7.7% (compared to 8.6% the week before).
Ontario achieved overall immunization coverage of 46%, up 6% from the previous week.
