“Jersey Shore” star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has a small situation in his hands.
Sorrentino and his wife, Lauren Sorrentino, welcomed their first baby, a boy named Romeo Reign.
Appropriately enough, they made the social media announcement Thursday, known to any “Jersey Shore” fan as “Jerzday.”
Romeo was born on Wednesday, May 26, weighing 6 pounds, 8 ounces and 19 inches.
“Romeo Reign Sorrentino,” Mike, 39, and Lauren, 36, captioned photos of the newborn and photos of the delivery room on Instagram. The couple announced the pregnancy in November.
The ‘Jersey Shore’ crew were ready with good wishes for the baby, who, in true reality TV lore, already has their own popular Instagram account and an upcoming lifestyle brand.
“Welcome to my family, my wonderful nephew !!! Nicole said “Snooki” Polizzi. “So so so so exciting for you my best friends!” God bless you and welcome to my parent club !!!! ”
Polizzi left the Jersey Shore Family Vacation in part because she wanted to spend more time with her children. But the reality TV star, who has three children, can be seen in teasers for upcoming episodes set in the Poconos (see video below).
Of the original “Jersey Shore” crew, only Vinny Guadagnino, Angelina Pivarnick and Sammi Giancola are not parents.
Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, Sorrentino’s cast mates on the MTV “Jersey Shore” reboot “Jersey Shore Family Vacation”, followed suit, praising Instagram.
“Welcome to the Romeo family !!!!!! »Said DelVecchio. ” I’m looking forward to meet you. “
“I’m not crying, you are,” The Situation said in a comment on the photos.
“Cry,” Farley said.
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, who has a daughter and was recently arrested in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident, said he would withdraw from the show to seek mental health treatment.
Baby Situation had her own Instagram account before she was born. Today, @itsbabysituation has 435,000 subscribers. The baby lifestyle brand is on its way to @shopbabysitch.
Mike, who grew up in Manalapan, met Lauren Pesce in college. He parted ways with his college sweetheart while filming the original “Jersey Shore,” which premiered in 2009 and focused on Mike’s business card – his washboard abs. They then got together and she helped him in his struggle with sobriety.
The Sorrentinos were married in 2018 at Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains just before going to federal prison for tax evasion for eight months.
Upon her return, Lauren became pregnant and miscarried in 2019, during her early pregnancy. They publicly shared the story to help other families have similar experiences. The couple, who once lived in Long Branch, moved into a $ 1.8 million mansion in Holmdel.
In addition to appearing on “Jersey Shore Family Vacation,” which enters the second half of its fourth season on June 3, the Sorrentinos are hosting a motivational podcast called “Here the Sitch.”
“Jersey Shore Family Vacation” recently won two awards – for Best Documentary Reality and Best Reality Cast – at the inaugural MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted.
