The 51-year-old has opened up about his secret anxiety while competing in Friends: Reunion with Lisa Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc.
While recording the sitcom, which was filmed in front of a live audience, the star felt like he would “die” if the people watching didn’t laugh at his jokes.
“At least for me, I felt like I was going to die if they didn’t laugh,” he explained, much to the surprise of his co-stars.
“It’s not healthy for sure, but I would say a phrase sometimes and they weren’t laughing and I was sweating and having convulsions if I didn’t have the laughter I was supposed to have.” I would panic. “
Lisa told him, “You didn’t tell us that. I don’t remember you saying that.
“Oh yeah, I felt like this every night,” Matthew said.
Following the reunion that aired last week, many fans expressed concern for the actor when he appeared to have slurred speech.

A source close to the star told The Sun the star needed hours of emergency dental work before the interview.
