Lucinda Williams suffered a stroke last year – fr

Lucinda Williams suffered a stroke in November 2020, Rolling stone reports. Williams had a blood clot on the right side of her brain on Nov. 17 that affected the left side of her body and was rushed to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. After a month of therapy at a rehabilitation center in Vanderbilt, she was released on December 21. Six months into his recovery, Williams walks with a cane, is unable to play the guitar, and continues to have pain on his left side. Her husband, Tom Overby, said there were no signs of brain damage and she should make a full recovery.
Williams, who turned 68 in January, was originally scheduled to perform at the Mile 0 Festival in Key West, Fla. Last weekend, but canceled the appearance last month. Williams plans to return to the scene this summer; the opening of his tour for Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit is scheduled to begin July 19 in Vancouver, BC. Her cover of Sharon Van Etten’s “Save Yourself” appeared on Van Etten’s cover LP epic ten in March. His last LP Good souls, best angels released in April 2020.
