Liverpool must make ‘immoral offer’ for Neuhaus
Florian Neuhaus has become a potential replacement for Gini Wijnaldum in the Liverpool midfielder, but the Reds have been warned they will have to spend the money if they want to land Borussia Monchengladbach.
Sport Witness cites Bild as saying the reigning Premier League champions face competition from Bayern Munich for the 24-year-old.
Their article states:
The Germany international’s current deal ends in 2024 and the report explains that the midfielder sees his future with Gladbach, at least until the end of next season.
According to Bild, the only way to look at a sale this summer is for the Bundesliga side to receive an ‘immoral offer’ far beyond Neuhaus’s € 40million release clause.
“We are in contact with all the players. Yes, the players will be leaving us after this season. But no one should worry that we will no longer have a very competitive squad, ”Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl said.
I don’t know why potential suitors should submit offers far beyond a release clause or what’s the point of having one?
