The multitude of conspiracy theories was half the fun in the BBC’s hit crime drama.

Yet the eagle-eyed viewers who had previously spotted the set of golf clubs in Buckells’ office and made the “caddy” connection.

Jed also refuted speculation that AC-12 member Chloe Bishop could be the daughter of Tony Gates in the bent copper from the first series.

“Can we just put this to bed?”

However, some fans weren’t just hugging about a disappointing series finale – they’re also battling DC Chloe Bishop.

Initially, some viewers believed it was Double Agent Chloe who would be revealed as H.

But it quickly turned into sympathy for the character after she played a key role in solving the mystery.

Erron Gordon, GMB series director, took to Twitter to write: “To sum up, Chloe managed to break everything without even breaking a sweat. “

Another BBC viewer agreed and said, “Chloe deserves a promotion. She solved everything. “

A third continued, “Chloe watches the team go to the pub to celebrate when all of their work has done it. Mate. “

One of them then surmised, “I think we can all agree that Chloe is the only one doing police work in the AC-12. “
