Kiko Casilla was in Leeds United’s starting XI for their last two games because they want to get rid of him this summer.
Addressed exclusively to Football insider, the former Aston Villa and England striker suggested Marcelo Bielsa put the goalkeeper in the window before the transfer window.
Football insider revealed in April, Leeds are ready to let Casilla go for nothing with his £ 40,000 a week contract, making it difficult to find him a new club.
The Spaniard was unable to regain his place in Bielsa’s starting XI after serving an eight-game ban on racism last year.
Illan Meslier, 21, has had a decisive campaign this season after keeping 11 clean sheets in 35 Premier League games.
Therefore, it came as a surprise when he was dropped in favor of Meslier in Leeds’ penultimate game of the season against Southampton.
But Agbonlahor suggested it had more to do with Casilla.
He said Football insider correspondant Connor Whitley : “The manager might do it for a different reason.
“He could give the second-choice goalie a chance to play so teams can see him if they want to move him.
“Leeds couldn’t enter Europe, they couldn’t be relegated. Even Rodrigo started the last game of the season.
“Maybe he’s trying to give other people a chance.
“Just take it [Casilla] some play time and help him move.
Casilla has now played 62 matches in all competitions for Leeds.
The former Spain international has two more years to go on his contract at Elland Road.
In other news, Leeds United landed an incredible £ 133million windfall.
