Launch notes: Blue Jays, Allgeyer, Nats, Strasbourg, Astros, Valdez, Odorizzi,

the Geais bleus having opted Nick Allgeyer to Triple-A, by Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca (via Twitter). Allgeyer has not made an appearance and has yet to make his Major League debut. • the Nationals may be about to activate Stephen Strasburg, based on how his shoulder feels today, by MASNsports.com’s Mark Zuckerman (via Twitter). The Nationals starters rank an unusual 25th place in the Majors by fWAR, 16th with an ERA of 4.29 and penultimate with a PIF of 4.83. Strasbourg contributed only two starts totaling 10 rounds over the year.
  • Framber Valdez and Jake Odorizzi will start on two consecutive days for the Sugar Land Skeeters this week, by Fox 26 sporting director Mark Berman (via Twitter). This is especially good news considering that Jose Urquidy just landed on the injured list. Due to their schedule, however, Houston could largely get by with just four starters until June, writes Athletic’s Jake Kaplan.
