Brentford face Swansea at Wembley Stadium in the Championship play-off final and are looking to reserve their place in the Premier League next season.
The heartbreak of last year’s final, with Fulham ahead of London rivals 2-1 thanks to a brace from Joe Bryan, sets up a story of redemption for Thomas Frank’s side in what is called ” the richest match in football ”.
And the Danish coach believes that last year’s experience, while negative, will increase their chances of finally climbing to the top of English football: “I think that’s a plus – how much you don’t. not really know. out there last year is going to help in a way, but it’s not like all of a sudden we’re 20% better. It could help in the decisive moments. It will be a close match that will be done in the finest of margins. It is very important that we do everything possible to be courageous and make sure that when we look back we have no regrets. “
While Swans head coach Steve Cooper insists the promotion ‘would mean anything’ for the Welsh club: “The club was there before, long before I was here, and this trip was special. Then he was swept away by relegation, the club had to rebuild with a different identity and rebuild. We got to this last game of the season and we gave ourselves a chance to win 50-50. This is something that we really have to aim for. It would mean everything for the city and everything for the club, and everyone is aware of it. It’s a huge motivation for us to do the job. “
