After the peaks of victory in the Champions League and the Premier League, this season has been a major disappointment for the champions. Klopp’s men face a battle to finish in the top four after a miserable run of form since the start of the year. While Man City could celebrate the title this weekend, Liverpool are in seventh place and will need to win the last five games to give themselves again in the Champions League.
In addition to Liverpool’s hiccup in 2021, Liverpool owner’s Fenway Sports Group were seen as one of the instigators of the recent failed European Super League.
Ahead of their match with Leeds last month, Klopp admitted neither he nor his players had any prior knowledge FSG participation projects.
He insisted he didn’t want the plans to come to fruition. But despite the manager’s wish, Football insider reported that the events left deep wounds between the coach and his superiors. Klopp reportedly felt “furious” with FSG for “hanging out” to the media on the plans.
Of course, Liverpool followed other Premier League clubs and pulled out of the doomed project. And Klopp’s future has been under the microscope ever since.
However, despite everything that has happened, the 53-year-old is ‘absolutely’ dedicated to Liverpool, even if he fails to make it to the first European table.
Ask by Sky Sports Germany, Marc Kosicke, insisted that Klopp remains attached to the Anfield club.

Klopp contractual clause
“Absolutely! No discussion, ”he said when asked if Klopp would stay. And when asked if Klopp had a release clause in his contract, Kosicke declined to discuss the matter.
Klopp put pen to paper on a new contract in December 2019 committing his future to the Merseysiders until 2024. And although Kosicke declined to talk about the details of Klopp’s contract, it emerged in February 2020 that the German has a strange clause in his agreement.
When the German coach decides to move on Independent reported that Liverpool are contractually obligated to offer to help him return to his native Germany.
Liverpool chiefs have reportedly inserted a special clause in Klopp’s contract that would involve repatriating him to his home country on his terms.
