According to the property records, obtained by TMZ… the buyer bought the house for $ 395,000.
Now, to be clear, the actual house on the lot is NOT Gacy’s former residence. In 1979, a year after the gruesome discovery of 29 decaying bodies at Gacy’s home, the police were demolished.
Seven years later, a new house was built on the land… and it is the one that has just been sold.
Still, the macabre history of the property – a 3-bedroom, 2-bath ‘beautiful brick house’ with an updated kitchen overlooking a huge backyard – might be too spooky for most people… but apparently not the new owner.
In other words, IF the new owner even knew the past of the property. In Illinois, the murders are not to be disclosed… but if a potential buyer asks, the real estate agent must be honest.
