Morant’s father Tee Morant detailed what happened in the stands in an interview with ESPN on Thursday. He said there had been three separate incidents in the stands that went beyond the regular heckling.
“I know the heckling. We did that the whole game. But it’s different from heckling. It is downright disrespectful. It was too far off limits. You don’t say anything about this heckling. It’s beyond heckling, ”Tee Morant told ESPN.
He added that a fan made a sexual remark to his wife, Janice, and it got worse from there.
“I’m going to put a dime on your back and watch you dance, boy,” a Tee Morant fan told him.
The Jazz issued a statement about the incident.
